Our Mission
To promote the group interests of all manufacturers, distributors and users of liquefied petroleum gas in the safety thereof and the implementation of responsible practice in connection therewith, which includes:
- To promote the common interests of the industry on safety;
- To provide assistance to members of the company and members of the Liquefied Petroleum Gas Association of Southern Africa;
- To provide information on safety matters to the users of liquefied petroleum gas;
- To organise, hold and sponsor activities aimed at guiding, educating, training, motivating and informing consumers, distributors, installers, manufacturers and the public alike on the safe and efficient uses of liquefied petroleum gas;
- To foster and encourage, direct and promote research and development in all safety matters touching upon the Industry; namely, in the use, storage, transport and other matters concerning liquefied petroleum gas and liquefied petroleum gas hardware, equipment and appliances;
- To monitor safety legislation relating to the objectives of the company and to make representations with regard to pending and existing legislation;
- To advise on and provide guidance in relation to personnel training, the installation and servicing of liquefied petroleum gas and liquefied petroleum gas hardware, equipment and appliances to promote methodology in respect thereof;
- To protect and further the image of the Industry.
